JUNE 20 | Backyard Band to Perform at Go-Go Museum Juneteenth Event
Washington, DC’s Juneteenth celebrations will continue in a major way as The Go-Go Museum presents the Anacostia Renaissance Juneteenth Weekend Finale on Saturday, June 20 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
The event will feature a special live unplugged performance by the legendary Backyard Band inside The Go-Go Museum’s Outdoor Garden Pavilion, bringing together music lovers, community members, and culture enthusiasts for an evening centered around freedom, unity, and celebration.
Powered by DC Lottery, the event will also include free swag bags for attendees while supplies last. Guests are encouraged to embrace the evening’s “Fly All Black Attire” dress theme as the community gathers for one of the signature Juneteenth weekend events in Anacostia.
Located at The Go-Go Museum & Café, the event highlights the continued importance of preserving and celebrating DC’s rich Go-Go culture while creating spaces for community connection and cultural expression.
