MAY 30 | Historic Anacostia Community Cleanup

The Historic Anacostia Block Association (HABA) is inviting community members to join its next monthly neighborhood cleanup on Saturday, May 30 at 10:00 AM.

Volunteers will meet at Old Market House Square, located at 14th and V Streets SE, before heading out to help clean adopted residential blocks and intersections throughout Historic Anacostia.

HABA will provide all cleanup supplies, including gloves, trash bags, pickers, and water. Organizers say all ages and abilities are welcome to participate, and residents are also encouraged to bring leashed pets that enjoy being around other animals.

While registration is optional, HABA encourages participants to sign up through the organization’s Facebook page in order to receive a reminder before the event.

The monthly cleanups are part of HABA’s ongoing efforts to help keep Historic Anacostia clean, welcoming, and vibrant for residents and visitors alike.
