The Anacostia Business Improvement District supplements existing DC government services and programs, enhances street cleaning, sponsors special events, and advocates for stakeholders. The Anacostia Business Improvement District (BID) believes Arts & Culture and economic development can be leveraged to develop sustainable, connected communities. This placemaking plan (DC's Arts and Culture District), established in Historic Anacostia, is an approach that puts arts, culture, and technology in the forefront and provides a sense of place, stimulates the local economy, connects us, and creates vibrancy. ARTS & CULTURE CREATIVE COLLECTIVE

The Arts & Culture Creative Collective is a community of artists and culture creators who collectively produce art. Art to us is not just fine art but music, culture, food, dance, and everything under the sun we consider creative. Our artists practice art to celebrate, inspire and spread art. We invite our collective members to engage with the community and audiences by practicing their art forms live and encourage support through patronage and purchase.
