Project Create is CLOSED and will reopen on April 1st
March 13, 2020
Dear Project Create Family,
As always, Project Create is committed to safe, healthy space for our students, families, staff and visitors. We are as concerned as you are about the Corona Virus/COVID-19, and we are hoping for minimal impact here in Washington, DC.
In the interest of Project Create participants, teaching artists and staff members, we have made the difficult decision to close our arts center for the next two weeks. We will follow an adapted DC Public Schools schedule as follows:
From Monday, March 16th through Friday, March 20th, Project Create will take our Spring Break. (There will no longer be a Spring Break during the week of April 13th.)
From Monday, March 23rd through Tuesday, March 31st, Project Create students are invited to participate in distance learning, including webinars, YouTube videos and as many creative alternatives as our teaching artists can devise! (Stay tuned!)
On Wednesday, April 1st, Project Create Arts Center will re-open and all classes and workshops will be held as usual. (We will continue to follow DCPS closures so please stay tuned for any changes.)
Family Art Day is canceled on March 14th and 28th and will reconvene on Saturday, April 11th.
Please call us at (202) 889-0655 for updated messages regarding our status. You can also check our website at www.projectcreatedc.org, and we will continue to email with updates.
Thanks for your patience and support. Please stay healthy!
Christie
