MAY 15 | Pedal Into Your Morning: Bike to Work Day Comes to Anacostia

There’s no better way to kick off your morning than on two wheels—and Bike to Work Day is the perfect excuse to give it a try.

Hosted by the Anacostia BID, this year’s pit stop invites residents, commuters, and casual riders alike to “put a new spin” on their daily routine. Whether you’re biking all the way to work or just taking a short ride through the neighborhood, Bike to Work Day is all about embracing a healthier, more sustainable way to get around—while having a little fun along the way.

Participants who register and attend will receive a free event t-shirt and join thousands of riders across the DMV who are choosing a more active commute. It’s a simple shift that makes a big impact—for your health, your wallet, and the environment.

📍 The Anacostia BID pit stop will be located at 13th Street & Marion Barry Ave SE, directly across from the Anacostia Arts Center.
🕖 Stop by between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM to connect with neighbors, grab some goodies, and enjoy a welcoming community atmosphere before heading off to start your day.

From seasoned cyclists to first-time riders, everyone is encouraged to take part. Bike to Work Day is more than just a commute—it’s a celebration of community, movement, and the shared energy of DC’s neighborhoods.
