Come see The Return: A Collaborative & Interactive Exploration of Re-entry, a play written by men who are currently incarcerated and performed by returned citizens. Their play explores issues surrounding our prison system, shares personal stories, and brainstorms potential solutions for the future.

Voices Unbarred is a prison theatre organization that creates a platform for individuals who are incarcerated to have their voices heard. Along with teaching key re-entry skills, our programming aims to raise awareness and change the prison system as we know it. We believe that including those most affected by the issue in the reform process is the most effective and humane method of change.

This event is made possible in partnership with Convergence Theatre. They are currently performing A New Nation, a synthesis of performance art, poetry, interviews and physical theatre that probes responses to the immigration crisis in the US and current perceptions of the stranger. The show runs through July 29th.
