JULY 24 | Urban Gardening Workshop - Growing Community: Food for the People

Join us for a discussion of ACM’s newest exhibition "Food for the People: Eating and Activism in Greater Washington," which explores DC’s food landscape and invites audiences to consider “What is Food Justice?”  Curator Dr. Samir Meghelli will provide insight on the food justice issues facing residents and highlight some of the people and organizations working to address them.  Garden Facilitator Derek Thomas will lead us in a workshop that includes training tomatoes and birds and animal proofing our garden.
