JULY 2 - AUG 6 | Project Create Free Family Art Therapy Program

Families looking for a meaningful way to connect and support one another this summer will have an opportunity to do so through Project Create's Family Art Therapy program.

Running from July 2 through August 6, the free program provides a supportive group experience where families can strengthen communication, build resilience, and enhance emotional well-being through creative expression. Designed for families of all backgrounds, the program welcomes participants regardless of artistic experience.

Each session combines guided art-making activities with opportunities for reflection and conversation, helping family members better understand and support one another. To foster a sense of community, every gathering begins with a shared meal.

Prior to the start of the series, families will meet individually with the program's art therapist to discuss their unique strengths, challenges, and goals. At the conclusion of the program, participants will have an opportunity to reflect on their experience and provide feedback.

Project Create's Family Art Therapy program is free and open to DC residents, but space is limited.
