FEB 11 | Flowers, Flowers, Flowers: A Free Community Floral Workshop
The Anacostia Community Museum invites the community to a special hands-on floral design workshop as part of its ACM Beyond the Exhibition: Growing Community Series, presented in partnership with Martha’s Table.
This free workshop takes place during Martha’s Table’s Healthy Happy Hour, a weekly gathering that brings neighbors together for connection, wellness, and creativity. Community members are encouraged to stop by the Commons to enjoy healthy mocktails, nutritious snacks, music, gardening activities, and interactive wellness experiences for all ages.
During the free workshop, participants will be guided through the basics of floral design, including flower selection, balance, and arrangement. Guests will create their own seasonal floral arrangement in celebration of Valentine’s Day—perfect to take home or share with a loved one, friend, or mentor.
This program is part of ACM Beyond the Exhibition, a special initiative that keeps Anacostia Community Museum’s programming active while the gallery undergoes exhibition installation from January through May 2026. Hosted at partner locations throughout Ward 8, these free programs center history, wellness, and culture, offering meaningful opportunities for learning, creativity, and connection for neighbors of all ages.
While the gallery is temporarily closed, ACM’s commitment to community remains open and thriving.
