Deadlines Approaching for Ward 7 Grant Opportunities

The DC Office of Planning is currently accepting applications for two Ward 7 grant opportunities, but application deadlines are fast approaching. These grants are designed to strengthen neighborhood commercial corridors, expand food access and entrepreneurship, and activate public space for the benefit of residents, businesses, and community partners.

Both grants advance key recommendations from several Ward 7 planning initiatives that prioritize fresh food access, support local entrepreneurs, and encourage vibrant, community-focused public spaces.

Ward 7 Shared Commercial Kitchen Grant
Application Deadline:
January 7, 2026 at 3:00 PM

This grant supports the development or activation of shared commercial kitchen spaces that help expand food access and create new opportunities for food entrepreneurs in Ward 7.

Ward 7 Public Space Activation Grant
Application Deadline:
January 13, 2026 at 3:00 PM

This grant supports projects that activate and beautify public space through programming, placemaking efforts, and community-centered activities.
