A Business Improvement District (BID) is a self-taxing district established by property owners to enhance the economic vitality of a specific commercial area. Established in 2012 as a DC nonprofit, the Anacostia Business Improvement District aims to support a thriving, diverse commercial and arts district via various programs, events, and initiatives.
