Pay What You Can Tickets for RS24 Preview Performances
The Anacostia Playhouse is pleased to announce that we are kicking off 2020 with the return of RS/24 the riveting original work of Clayton LeBouef, with co-direction by Cheryl L. Hawkins and Ella C. Davis.
A veteran of the stage, Clayton LeBouef has written an ethereal drama exploring how the lives of two characters Hubie, a record shop owner, and a distressed Street Worker, collide one night on a chance encounter. Each is unaware that this meeting will play a significant role in carving out their destinies. RS/24 draws upon ancestral wisdom, vintage music and the return of vinyl to highlight how African American music has shaped world culture. LeBouef adds his performance in this original one-act stage production at the Anacostia Playhouse, to his growing body of work that includes productions on local, national and international stages. RS/24 celebrates ancestral wisdom, vintage music and the return of vinyl.
RS/24 will run at the Anacostia Playhouse, 2020 Shannon Place SE, for 18 performances from January 23, 2020 to February 9, 2020.
Thursdays, Fridays at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 2:00pm and 7:30pm and Sundays at 3:00 pm.
