OCT 25 | Pumpkin Decorating Workshop at the Anacostia Community Museum

The Smithsonian Anacostia Community Museum is inviting the community to get creative this fall with Colorful Pumpkins, Creative Minds, a hands-on pumpkin decorating workshop on Saturday, October 25, from 12 to 2 p.m.

Designed for families, friends, and neighbors of all ages, this free event offers a festive alternative to traditional pumpkin carving. Participants will have the chance to paint their pumpkins with bold patterns, whimsical characters, or abstract designs, or decorate them with dried flowers and greenery for a modern and elegant seasonal look.

All materials will be provided, making it easy for attendees to transform an ordinary pumpkin into a unique autumn masterpiece. The event blends creativity with community spirit, offering a safe, accessible, and fun way to celebrate the season.
