NOW - SEPT 7 | Project Create Heart Space, Free Family Art Therapy Group

For 26 years, Project Create has provided accessible arts education to children, youth and families in Washington, DC. Our programs, designed and guided by art therapists, have always incorporated a therapeutic approach. Now we are now offering a comprehensive art therapy program that we affectionately call HeART Space.

What is art therapy? Art therapy is a practice rooted in the idea that creative expression and art-making can foster healing and mental well-being. Through techniques such as drawing, painting, collage, dance and theater, art therapy can help people express themselves artistically, explore their emotions and alleviate stress, to name a few benefits!

Want to try it out? Join us to explore the benefits of art therapy with our free HeART Space Family Art Groups for families with children ages 6 to 10. Through this virtual 10-week family art group, families can strengthen their relationships and have fun together in visual arts classes with Project Create Art Therapist Anais Lugo-Axtmann.
