NatureFest Returns April 13–17, 2026 in Anacostia Park

Looking for a fun, engaging way to spend DCPS spring break? NatureFest is back this April, offering a full week of outdoor activities designed to get kids moving, exploring, and connecting with the natural world.

Taking place April 13–17, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day, NatureFest invites youth ages 5–12 and their families to enjoy a safe, welcoming environment filled with hands-on experiences and fresh air.

Each day features a variety of interactive activities that make learning about nature both fun and memorable. Attendees can enjoy scenic boat rides on the river, take part in scavenger hunts, get creative with arts and crafts, meet live animals, and even hit the skating area. Whether kids are discovering something new or simply enjoying time outdoors, there’s something for everyone to explore.

NatureFest is open to families, youth day camps, and recreation centers, making it an easy and flexible option for spring break planning. Organizers do ask that all youth attendees are accompanied by a chaperone for the duration of their visit.

For parents and caregivers looking to balance fun with meaningful outdoor experiences, NatureFest offers a simple solution: a place where kids can unplug, stay active, and create lasting memories right here in DC.
