Is your organization prepared for an extended disruption to your normal business operations? 

When was the last time your business, community organization, or house of worship conducted a self-assessment or participated in an emergency preparedness training? 

Spin Global, DC Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency, and 100 Resilient Cities would like to invite businesses, community organizations, and houses of worship from around the District to participate in a one day immersive workshop designed to prepare your organization for a disruption of service due to a disaster. 

At this workshop, participants will: 

  • Learn to prepare your organzization 

  • Understand local threats and develop comprehensive emergency plans

  • Conduct a self-assessment of business continuity and disaster resilience

  • Participate in a tabletop exercise with government, business, and non-profit organizations

  • Develop an business continuity action plan with tangible next steps and goals

This Workshop will be held at the R.I.S.E Demonstration Center**, 2730 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE, Washington, DC 20032 on May 22 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. 

**Be prepared to show a photo identification when you arrive. There is a free and secure visitor parking lot available. If you prefer to take the Metro, the closest station is Anacostia (Green Line) and the following busses will take you to the RISE Center: A2, A4, A6, A8, and W3.
