Martha Table's has a new President and CEO
Our next leader has been chosen! We could not be more excited to share with you that our Board of Directors has unanimously selected Kim R. Ford as the next President & CEO of Martha’s Table.
Kim will begin her new role on April 1 and brings with her an extensive background in education leadership and community development—and, as a native Washingtonian, shares our vision of a city in which every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Recently, Kim served the U.S. Department of Education as the Acting Assistant Secretary for the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education. Before that, she worked as a dean at the University of the District of Columbia, overseeing programs related to career and technical education. She also served in President Obama’s Administration, where she helped lead the implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
We are so grateful to Patty Stonesifer for her exceptional leadership, her partnership, and her vision as CEO. During her six years—and with the support of our dedicated staff, volunteers, community members, and supporters—we have nearly doubled our reach of our programs, sharpened our focus on supporting children in their earliest years, and successfully relocated our headquarters to The Commons in Southeast and opened new doors at The Maycroft in Northwest to support residents on both sides of the Anacostia River.
Our most important work is ahead of us still. We are inspired and energized by all of you. Thank you so much for being part of our mission to support strong children, strong families, and strong communities.
We are so proud of what we’ve built here these past years and we are eager to see what Kim’s leadership brings.
Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Kim!
Yours in service,
Martha’s Table
