Dear Partners and Friends

The COVID-19 virus has had a far-reaching impact, and our hearts go out to everyone who has been directly and indirectly affected. The wellbeing and safety of our community are of the utmost importance to the Far Southeast Family Strengthening Collaborative.

The COVID-19 pandemic presents a challenge, unlike anything we have faced in modern times. We’re following the Centers for Disease Control’s recommendation for social distancing in this crisis to keep our community safe.  From March 16th to March 31st FSFSC locations including our Main Office, Community Impact Centers and the Congress Heights Senior Wellness Center will be closed. All events and programming scheduled through March 31st have been suspended.

Far Southeast Family Strengthening Collaborative is committed to doing our part to prevent the spread of the virus while continuing to support our community and families. To navigate this situation safely, FSFSC has implemented, an agency-wide telework policy. The telework schedule will enable our organization to continue to offer uninterrupted, dependable services and resources to our families and the Ward 8 community.

We will continue to monitor this situation closely and share the updates and actions we are taking to combat this developing pandemic. In times like this, the very best thing we can do is to work together to combat the spread of the virus and ensure the safety and security of our communities.

As always, we remain deeply committed to serving our community and families in this time of uncertainty. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at 202-889-1425.

Sincerely,

Dionne Bussey- Reeder
Executive Director, Far Southeast Family Strengthening Collaborative
