Thursday, December 17 | 2:30 – 3pm

Join Marisa Walton aka Chef Mimi, as she prepares holiday treats that are sure to make your mouth water. Marisa is a mother of three who has discovered that her children have very different tastes and dietary needs. This has propelled her to learn how to prepare meals to appeal to Vegan and Vegetarian audiences and expand her recipes from traditional southern cuisine to healthier options. Her specialty is North African and Caribbean foods but her well-stamped passport has given her food for thought, literally, to expand her menu to provide a multiplicity of ethnic cuisine. One of the dishes she will prepare is Trini Kurma Cookies, which is a Trinidadian favorite.
