AUGUST 1 | Deadline for Nominations for Washington City Paper's 'Best of D.C.' 2021
“It’s time to take all that pent-up energy and channel it into supporting your favorite local icons.
This year you can vote in Food, Drink, Arts & Entertainment, Health & Beauty, Goods, Services, Pandemic Superstars, and People & Places. In addition to updating our existing categories for those places and things that we missed over the past year (Think: Concert Venue We Missed the Most) and including new ones to account for the innovations we love (Think: Best To-Go Cocktail), we’re also adding a new phase of voting.
This year, we will start the voting process with an Open Nominations phase, where readers can write-in their top choice. Then, in the next phase we’ll conduct the Finalist Vote where readers can select their top choice from the finalists. The new process will give local organizations and businesses more opportunities to rock the vote and be selected for the final ballot, and it’ll make it easier for readers to cast their ballots.

We hope that you will join us in celebrating these favorite neighborhood businesses, places, and people that make our city feel like home. And we hope that you continue reading us as we celebrate 40 years of local stories in our 40th anniversary year!”
