This month our Take Time Thursdays will be about Food in conjunction our exhibition “Food for the People: Eating and Activism in Greater Washington” opening April 17, 2021 and will be on display until September 5, 2022.

Join Dr. Kara Young, healer and food justice researcher, as she leads us through a meditation around food justice, self-healing, and community liberation. Dr. Young has a decade of experience writing, organizing, teaching, and public speaking on food disparities, racial justice, and healing. You don’t want to miss this important holistic pause! 

#Take Time Thursdays with the Anacostia Community Museum gives participants a chance to take time for wellness, health, and creativity with artists, thought leaders, performers, wellness practitioners and others. Take a 30-minute break with us from 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. each Thursday and boost your mind, body and spirit.
