APRIL 8 | Anacostia Museum presents Urban Gardening: Reap What You Sow
Saturday, April 8 | 10am – 12pm
10:00-10:45 Young gardeners (5-12)
The first part of this workshop will focus on teaching our youngest gardeners the proper techniques of sowing seeds and root vegetables like onions. Participants will create their own planters to take home and begin their journey into gardening. Our young gardeners, their parents, and guardians will be invited to return for our Earth Day celebration to share pictures and stories of the past weeks’ progress.
10:14- Noon Adult gardeners
This workshop will focus on the thinning of seeds planted in March. The team will plant onions, radish, beets, carrots, leaf veggies, and herbs. We’ll also discuss charting the progress of the garden this season.
