Ujamaa Thursday’s is a monthly event for entrepreneurs and change-agents. Hosted by the founders of MahoganyBooks, Ujamaa Thursday's was created as a way to bring together local business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, and individuals/organizations tasked with supporting business development in predominantly African-American communities across Washington DC. Held in a culturally inspiring venue, this event is a chance for entrepreneurs to unwind, develop new relationships, and discover fresh opportunities & new ideas.

While the majority of the evening is a relaxing, open setting for relationship building and engaging conversations, Ujamaa Thursday's is a great learning opportunity that will also feature two local entrepreneurs who've built standout businesses, brands, or organizations. Our featured entrepreneurs will briefly discuss lessons learned from years in business as well as wisdom they've gleaned from the most important books in their lives and how those titles influenced their attitudes or strategies in business.
