APRIL 19 | Extended Deadline for Submission to Anacostia Shorts Film Festival
The Annual Anacostia Shorts Film Festival returns to Honfleur Gallery May 10th - 12th, 2025! Funded by ARCH Development and Presented by Valley Place Arts Collaborative and Open Road, this three-day film festival consists of two days of in-person screenings and one day of online screenings. A filmmakers' Q&A session will follow the screenings.

Shorts not selected to receive a cash prize will be considered in competition for two honorary awards:
"Best of the Fest" and "Audience Favorite"
May 10th is dedicated to a diverse range of films that capture the essence of the present moment. From thought-provoking documentaries to heartwarming narratives, this day promises a rich and varied cinematic experience you won't want to miss. The screenings will occur from 6pm to 8:30pm at Honfleur Gallery, 1241 Marion Barry Avenue, SE; Washington, DC 20020.
The Monday, May 12th screenings will be live-streamed on YouTube on Open Road's channel, providing a unique opportunity for global viewership. After the live event, a festival recording will be available on the channel for on-demand viewing. However, this will be for a limited time, so make sure to catch it while you can.
