Featuring Local Business Spotlight: Plum Good by Angela Chester-Johnson

Washington, DC — The Anacostia Business Improvement District (BID) and the Art to Go-Go Arts & Cultural District are proud to announce its participation in Mayor Muriel Bowser’s 11th Annual FITDC Fresh Start 5K in partnership with the DC Department of Parks and Recreation and Aetna. As part of this exciting event, the Anacostia BID and Art to Go-Go will host a “Warming Lounge,” offering participants and spectators a cozy space to recharge and connect.

This year, the Warming Lounge will showcase Plum Good, a local minority and woman-owned business led by the talented Angela Chester-Johnson. Plum Good locally produces and sources the highest quality culinary and restorative spices, herbs and teas. Attendees will enjoy warm beverages and a tasting of signature Plum Good products, providing a perfect blend of comfort and flavor on a brisk day to begin the new year. In addition, the Warming Lounge will invite participants to relax and mingle in the lounge area and partake in recording testimonials congratulating Mayor Muriel Bowser on her 10th year anniversary as mayor and sharing their aspirations for 2025.
