Pull up for Park(ing) Day on Friday, September 15th, and immerse yourself in the sounds and sights of the Anacostia Mini-Forest Pop-Up Park—join the dialogue surrounding green space equity.

Everyone has a right to access and benefit from green space! This Park(ing) Day, MKSK is collaborating with Anacostia Parks & Community Collaborative, Friends of Anacostia Park, Friends of Oxon Run, Friends of Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, and the Anacostia BID to cultivate a pocket of lush planting for all, right on MLK Jr Ave SE.

Throughout the day-long installation, the Mini-Forest invites you to bask on one of its "Forest Beds," immersing yourself in a temporary native garden. In partnership with local park organizations, the installation provides an interactive introduction to our green spaces and the importance of ensuring daily access to them.
