Martha's Table seeks Family Success Center Manager
At Martha’s Table, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity for his or her brightest future and a family and community deeply committed to their success. The organization values a “roll up your sleeves attitude” and a “joy in the day and joy in the work” approach in an environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. We believe in the power of community – a strong community. For 40 years, we have offered a continuum of support — through which we offer access to healthy food, family and community supports, and quality education — to strengthen the lives of children and their families, and build strong, healthier communities.
Position Summary
The Family Success Center Manager will serve as the primary coordinator and point of contact for the Anacostia Family Success Center. Through the Family Success Center (FSC), Martha’s Table will be able to build upon the many community assets that already exist and deeply engage our neighbors, local businesses and community organizations to deliver the essential support that will help connect people to the educational, economic and health resources needed to strengthen their lives. The Family Success Center will reflect the needs and aspirations of DC residents living in Anacostia while still serving as an access point for residents of the District of Columbia. Our goal is to have the Family Success Center serve as a neighborhood hub, a one-stop-shop to meet the needs of our neighbors through supportive, preventative and upstream services.
The Family Success Center Manager will oversee the day to day activities of the center, including but not limited to creating a welcoming environment for guests visiting the center, advocating for community members, partnership coordination, liaising with other community organizations, coordination of partnership activities at the center, collecting and distributing information related to resources available at the Commons and throughout the District and administering effective outreach programs and resource coordination.
